Founder Profile
Joshua James Laughtland
Josh got his start over a decade ago with a San Francisco based startup and has been involved in the field of search marketing ever since. He’s provided consulting for the author of SEO for Dummies, Idaho Department of Commerce, Boise State University, Better Homes and Gardens and many others.
Josh is frequently referred to as an SEO engineer – with a background in programming, database architecture, web design and site development. Which is apparent with his ability to obtain stellar keyphrase rankings for not only Jtree clients, but his own websites.
He is also one of the founding members of SEOinBOI; a Boise area SEO-themed event he hosts with Marshall Simmonds of Define Media Group (formerly of The New York Times) and Kevin Gamache of Wirestone.

Josh has a BBA from Boise State (think blue turf), and is somewhat of an amateur wilderness photographer (see slideshow below). He has been featured in National Geographic Traveler Magazine, Sunset Magazine and local television for his conservation work, activism and outdoor websites; which receive thousands of unique visitors each month.
