Myself, Marshall Simmonds and Kevin Gamache would like to invite those in the SEO in Boise space to our 4th meetup.

Last time, we had Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz speak, this time we’re going to turn it down a notch and watch Kevin juggle while riding a unicycle. While that would rawk, the true agenda for SEOinBOI #4 is centered around open discussion.

A new Google began rolling out yesterday, which should be available to most people who are signed in and searching over the course of the next few days… coined ‘Search, plus Your World‘.

Google Search, plus Your World includes three new features, according to Google:

Personal Results, which enable you to find information just for you, such as Google+ photos and posts—both your own and those shared specifically with you, that only you will be able to see on your results page.
Profiles in Search, both in autocomplete and results, which enable you to immediately find people you’re close to or might be interested in following.
People and Pages, which help you find people profiles and Google+ pages related to a specific topic or area of interest, and enable you to follow them with just a few clicks. Because behind most every query is a community.

SEO is growing up and blowing up, which is why it’s time for a community event in the Boise area for those of us living an optimized lifestyle.

Marshall Simmonds of Define Media Group (formerly The New York Times), Keven Gamache of [wire] stone and myself of Jtree Boise SEO are hosting the first SEO in BOI event this Wednesday (May 11th) from 4-6pm at Cole Marr in Boise.

While future events may feature a topic and/or speaker, our first event is primarily a meet and greet. We’ll start off by doing what SEOs do best… drink coffee… and mingle – of course! Plan on standing up and introducing yourself to the group. Then, we’ll wrap-up with more banter and java.
